How do I manage email notifications?

As you use Brainstorm, you will likely start "following" ideas, people, or tags.  You will receive email notifications when there is activity on something you follow.  These notifications can come immediately after the activity occurs (if you're really interested) or as part of a daily or weekly digest (if you'd prefer to receive them all at once).

Your notification preferences will change over time.  Ideas can become more or less interesting.  Your primary responsibilities may flex up or down.  Whatever it is, we try to make it easy to adjust how Brainstorm sends notifications to a way that works for you.

Managing Email Notifications

From the email notification

In the upper right of each activity notification you receive, there is a link to "Manage Subscriptions."  Click that link to go directly to the "My Subscriptions" area of your profile page.

From your profile page

Once you've clicked the link in an email notification (or navigated to your profile page directly by clicking your name in the upper right part of the header), scroll down to the "My Subscriptions" area.  Here you'll be able to see what you are following by category (ideas, pipelines, people, etc.) and then the individual items in each category.  To change your notifications, click the checkboxes next to each item.

If you have instant notifications and want to move to daily, check the daily box and uncheck the instant box.  If you want to stop receiving notifications, uncheck all boxes.
