One of the best ways to stay on top of what's going on to Brainstorm is to have Brainstorm do the work for you. By "following" ideas, people, and tags in Brainstorm, you can receive updates whenever an action is taken on one of those objects.
For example, if you find that someone has a keen eye for interesting ideas in Brainstorm, you could "follow" that person in order to be notified whenever that person finds a cool new idea and comments on it. The same logic applies to ideas you find interesting. Simply "follow" and you'll be notified when activity happens. Or, if you're broadly interested in a topic (i.e. innovation, mobile, marketing), you can follow a specific tag. That way, whenever anything happens in Brainstorm related to that tag you'll find out about it.
Whether you're following ideas, people, or tags, the process is the same throughout Brainstorm.
1) Click the big yellow "Follow" button in the right hand column.

2) Select the frequency with which you'd like to receive notifications

3) Click "Save"
That's all there is to it. If you'd ever like to change the frequency of your notifications, check out managing your email notifications.
