Getting to the Challenges Category Page

It’s pretty straightforward.  From any page in Brainstorm, click the “Challenges” button in the top navigation.

Creating a Challenge

On the Challenge Category Page, you can see information about other Challenges that already exist in your organization.  Additionally, you can create your own challenge.

  • Click the aptly named "Create a Challenge" button in the upper-right corner of the title area:

  • Describe you challenge in the challenge submission form:

Challenge Name - The title of your challenge.  It should be direct and specific

Description - Here is where you can provide further context about your challenge.  Participants give higher quality submissions when they better understand what the challenge is, how their ideas will be evaluated, and what actions will be taken as a result.

Start Date - This is the first day on which ideas can be submitted to your challenge.  If left blank, it will default to today's date.

Submission Deadline - This is the last day on which ideas can be submitted to your challenge.  If left blank, the challenge will be ongoing or open-ended.

Area - This allows you to categorize your challenge into the most relevant area of your organization.

Tags - This allows you to further describe your challenge with keywords or topics, and connect it to other related information in Brainstorm.

  • Click "Submit"

You will then be taken to your newly-created Challenge page -- Congratulations!
