Email is a very important piece of the Brainstorm experience.  Not only do you need to confirm your email address to sign up and access Brainstorm, but once you are actively using Brainstorm, email is the best way to stay well-informed about the ideas and activity that are most important to you.

So what should you do if you are not receiving emails from Brainstorm?

While there are a number of factors that could be causing this issue, but the below solutions will likely be able to resolve many of them:

  1. Wait a few minutes - Sometimes it can take Brainstorm emails a few minutes to make their way to your inbox.  If a Brainstorm email isn't delivered immediately, wait at least five minutes and check again.  If your email still hasn't found its way to your inbox, try the solutions below.

  2. Check your Spam or Junk email box - Some email programs are pretty over-protective, and may mistakingly filter our Brainstorm emails as spam.  If you were expecting a Brainstorm email that hasn't arrived in your inbox in over five minutes, check your spam or junk folder to see if it is in there.  If so, add Brainstorm to your "contacts" or "safe senders" list (Solution 3, below) so your email application will know we're friends!  If our emails aren't even making it to your spam folder, then it may your organization's IT settings that are blocking us (Solution 4, below), or something else may be going on, and you can contact us to help figure things out.

  3. Add Brainstorm to your Contacts or Safe Senders list - If your email application is mistakingly filtering out Brainstorm emails as spam, then adding the email address brainstorm@intuit.com to your contacts or "Safe Senders" (in Microsoft Outlook) list will usually do the trick.  If even that doesn't work, then it may be your organization's IT settings (Solution 4, below), or there may be something else going on, and you can contact us for help.

  4. Have your IT department configure your organization's email filtering to allow Brainstorm emails - Sometimes it is an organization-wide IT setting that is blocking Brainstorm emails from reaching your inbox.  If you think this may be the case, please have someone from your IT department contact us, or reach out to us yourself.  We can then work with your IT department to get them the technical information they need to allow Brainstorm emails to reach your inbox.

If none of the above solutions work, however, or you need any help at all, please contact us.

We will do everything we can to make sure that our Brainstorm emails get delivered to you successfully!
